Release date for Final Fantasy XI

This has been vague. I checked a few forums and some say it will be this summer but nothing has been confirmed. Another forum said that it will not be released in the UK because there are not enough PS2 onliners. So who is right and who knows the actual release date. If you are importing a copy from the US, you will need a modded PS2 cos the version is NTSC and we have PAL.
