OS X Leopard and Boot Camp for Windows installation on a Mac

Boot Camp which is included in OS X Leopard has a simple set up to get a Mac running Windows OS.  Boot Camp supports the most popular 32-bit releases of Win XP and Vista.  Windows will run at native speed.  When Windows is installed using Boot Camp, you can start up either OS.

Price of Mac Book Pro

I was in Kuala Lumpur recently when I popped into an Apple store in KLCC.  To my surprise I found that the Mac Book Pro was selling for at least £200 less than what you would pay in London.  I say what!!!  It is true.  The 15in 2.4GHz was definitely at least £200 less.  You can get a Mac Book Pro any where in the world and it will be cheaper than London but £200 is a great savings.  If you get one from America you still have to add tax but not in Kuala Lumpur :)

iLife 06 upgrade price, not acceptable!

I bought a mac mini last nov. when I went to NY for a holiday. It is my first Apple since the Apple IIe days, I think it was the 80s. The mac mini came installed with Mac OS X Tiger and iLife 05. It was recently that I signed up for a trial of the .mac service and discovered iWeb for blogging. Of course I want to use iWeb but it is not available with iLife 05. So I thought okay, lets see if I can upgrade to iLife 06 and to my surprise I have to pay $75 to upgrade. Why do I have to pay that amount to upgrade to iLife 06 when I paid for iLife 05 less than 6 months ago. I am furious and it does not justify to upgrade to iLife 06 when there has not been any significant changes since iLife 05 apart from iWeb. Now we know how Apple makes their money from desktop/laptop users, by charging for each upgrade and charging for the usage of .mac. What a rip off.
